At the M Bar D Ranch we raise train and show quality Appaloosas. Our purpose is to bring
out the best in all our horses whether in the show pen or on the trail.
We offer training and horses for sale. Any breed is welcome for training.
This is a picture of myself and WK Riptide with owner Dave Crowell. Riptide was second in
the nation during his yearling year in Hunter In Hand Stallions(pictured as a long yearling). He is now standing at Wounded
Knee Appaloosas in Avon, IL.
2011 brings a new Journey for WK Riptide! He has
been leased toTracy Rowley and will be showing in Huntseat! I'm so excited for him and I hear he gets to cover some mares
for them too.
WK Ripped N Torn aka Razer is a 2010 gelding sired by WK Riptide out of an Impressive Andrew mare N/N. He has
just been advanced to regular papers! He is FPD at 87%. Razer had his first Appaloosa show in June. It was a single judge
show so great for a first time out. He did wonderfully. Out of 6 Hunter in Hand geldings he placed 2nd! He was the only yearling.
In Halter yearlings he took first and gained half a halter point. We are looking forward to the IL State Fair show July 20th
where he will compete again in Hunter in Hand and Halter classes.
